Happy New Year From Kick Up The 80’S
Kick up the 80’s would like to wish you all the very best for the new year and new decade. It’s hard to believe that as we enter 2020 the music from the 1980’s is still so popular 40 years later. 2019 has seen Kick up The 80’s travel more than ever before going to new and exciting venues like The Musician in Leicester and also The 1865 in Southampton We had fantastic nights at both these venues, and will be back there again in 2020.
There has been some sad news too with one of our regular venues in Coventry The Arches closing down. We would like to wish Steve all the very best for the future. So if anyone knows a venue in Coventry looking for an 80’s show give us a shout. We would love to come back and play for the people of Coventry. We always had a great night there!
2020
2020 will see Kick up The 80’s going further afield than ever before. They will be leaving mainland UK for the first time ever and travelling over to Guernsey . Kick up the 80’s fly out to Guernsey in April. They will do two shows in The Dog House This is Guernsey’s finest live music venue. You will find us there Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of April.
Kick up the 80’s will also be working with Ace Promotions in 2020. They have worked promoting Bad Manners, Billy Ocean, Toyah, Leo Sayer, Boney M and From The Jam to name just a few. Our first gig with Ace Promotions will be at Weymouth Pavillion 4th July. The night after we head to Southampton to The 1865.
We will also be playing all our regular venues in 2020 too including The Robin Bilston, The River Rooms Stourbridge, The Station Cannock, and Brierley Hill Civic Hall. If you want to know where we are please click here for more details.
New Years Eve 2019
New years Eve Kick up The 80’s will be bringing the show nearer home to their local village hall In Codsall. This show sold out in just 2 days after a Facebook announcement from Guitarist Ant. We have played there for the last few years and for anybody who wants a heads up we will be back there again Saturday August 29th. Be quick tickets will sell out super quick again for this one.
