What can we say 2020 is not turning out to be the best year for live music due to the current pandemic. We have dates still in the diary and still taking bookings for when everything returns back to normal. All gigs in the diary will be honoured following government guidelines. We will bring you the best 80’s tribute act. With smoke, lasers and all the other things that people now expect from us that makes Kick Up The 80’s The Ultimate Party Band.
What Can Kick Up The 80’S Do Now?
Culture secretary Oliver Dowden has Said:
“We are also giving further clarity on restart dates in our roadmap back to performance. From July 11 we can all enjoy performances outdoors with social distancing and we are working hard to get indoor audiences back as soon as we safely can, following pilots. Our scientific research project will also help speed up this journey.”
So although Kick up the 80’s are not able to perform to our regular indoor audiences. There is a green light on for outdoor performances. Kick Up The 80s are ready to roll for outdoor performances. The future is uncertain at the moment for live music indoors however below is the government plan at the time of this post.
- Stage One – Rehearsal and training (no audiences and adhering to social distancing guidelines)
- Stage Two – Performances for broadcast and recording purposes (adhering to social distancing guidelines)
- Stage Three – Performances outdoors with an audience plus pilots for indoor performances with a limited distance audience from July 11. We will now also work with the sector to get small pilots started as soon as possible and will set out further details in due course.
- Stage Four – Performances allowed indoors / outdoors (but with a limited distanced audience indoors)
- Stage Five – Performances allowed indoors / outdoors (with a fuller audience indoors)
The Return
Kick up the 80’s are all extremely eager to get back on stage. Only when it is safe to do so, and also safe for the audience. Unfortunately at this moment in time unless this is an outdoor event this is not possible. However if anyone is reading this and planning an outdoor concert and would like us to play. we would love to hear from you.
